How to buy Bitcoin in Chile and send it to a casino
Every cashier accepts Bitcoin, but its price moves and the main network can be expensive. How to buy it with pesos, when to use Lightning and how to send it without mistakes.
Bitcoin is the coin every cashier at a Chile crypto casino accepts. It has two differences from USDT worth knowing before you buy: its price rises and falls, and the main network fee depends on how many people are using it.
Where to buy Bitcoin with pesos
The same two routes as for USDT:
- An exchange that trades with pesos (Buda.com, CryptoMKT, Orionx, among others). Transfer pesos from an account in your name, buy BTC in the BTC/CLP market and withdraw it.
- Binance P2P. Buy USDT or BTC from a verified seller. Many people buy USDT on P2P and convert it to BTC inside Binance.

Bitcoin addresses: how to recognise them
A BTC address on the main network starts with:
- bc1: the modern format, the most common today.
- 1: the legacy format.
- 3: the compatibility format.
All three work within the Bitcoin network. What does not work is sending BTC to an address on another network, for example a 0x BNB Chain address that a cashier shows for “BTC BEP-20”. If you see an option like that on the exchange or at the casino, it means wrapped Bitcoin on another network, and both sides have to use that same network.
Main network or Lightning
Main network. The standard option. The exchange calculates the fee from congestion and shows it before you confirm. At busy times it can rise sharply, which hurts small deposits.
Lightning. A layer on top of Bitcoin for small, cheap payments. Instead of an address, the casino shows an invoice (starting with lnbc) that expires in minutes. You pay it from an exchange or wallet that supports Lightning. Very few cashiers offer it, so check before relying on it.
Sending Bitcoin to the casino step by step
- In the casino cashier choose BTC and the network it offers.
- Copy the address with the copy button.
- On the exchange open Withdraw BTC, paste the address and choose the same network.
- Check the fee the exchange shows and the amount that will arrive.
- Compare the first and last characters of the address.
- Send a test amount above the cashier minimum first.
- Once it is credited, send the rest.

The price risk
If you deposit the equivalent of 100,000 pesos in BTC and the price falls 10% while you play, your balance is worth about 90,000 pesos even if you broke even at the games. The opposite can also happen. If you do not want that risk, two options:
- Deposit in USDT and keep Bitcoin out of the casino.
- Withdraw to BTC and sell as soon as it arrives on the exchange, without waiting for a better price.
